Talking about the Yulin dog meat festival in China, Guangxi, it started 10 years back in 2009 and that was basically what we can say a step ahead of cruelty…

A week before the ten day so called festival starts, thousands of dogs, homeless stray dogs, farmed and even 1/3rd of them are domesticated pet( judged from the collars they wear) are shipped from nearby places to Yulin in clingy metal cages, closely packed in unhygienic conditions, with factured elbows, having scars and cuts unrecovered, without proper fooding…

On the following festive days, man’s most loyal friend is subjected to an unimaginable pain by man itself. They are washed and then boiled alive for the sake of Chinese cultural cuisine to be consumed by festival goers. They are slaughtered before their own masters to whom they desired to serve until their last beat. Even what seems more tragedic is that some of the dog owners kill their domesticated dogs well before they are boiled, they say, they can’t witness the unbearable scene of their pet dog screaming till death. What a non-sense they are thinking of…

Although, through the years the number of dog deaths has fallen considerably from 12-15 thousands to some hundreds due to the constant efforts of the animal activists , but still it has its existence in the grass root level. This portrays that how humans act blindfolded when it comes to their greed. And a creature that deserves the same love, loyalty and companionship as it offers, gets a tragic end…
